Sant'Egidio Community
Social care
Mission
Members of the Catholic Sant'Egidio Community, founded in Rome, regularly visit and help the poor, families in need, children, the homeless, the elderly living alone in institutions and at home, and refugees. With their friendship, they try to break the loneliness of those excluded from society, to help people in trouble.
Fundraising goal
Every Wednesday and Friday, we give dinner to the poor in Budapest, we bring hot food, drinks and good words to the underpasses and squares. On Sunday lunches, we seat families, children, the homeless, the elderly, and refugees in need of help at the festive table. We help refugees from the war in Ukraine to find housing, and we stand by them in support. We organize activities and camps for disadvantaged children. We also help the people in need in Pécs and Monor.
