The team
We have been working together for five years in a web development company and was eager to find a way to give back to our community and environment.
At first, Boonshelf was born as an individual charity campaign during the summer of 2023 when Andi put her books on sale to support an NGO helping animal rescue organizations in the rural areas of Hungary.
It quickly become a concept for a platform so that others can put to good use the items they no longer need.

The platform
According to researches, an average home is sitting on more than €1500 worth of unused items. If at least a small percentage of these assets can be channeled to the funding of organizations trying to make a difference in our world, we have to give it a try.

Our objective is to create an online marketplace where people can sell and buy second-hand and handmade items while supporting causes they care about.
At the moment, Boonshelf enables users to promote their products and offer their earnings to registered NGOs. We enables sellers to measure their contribution.
The platform is currently in a pilot phase and run by a team of four.
