Mission
At the Rosa Parks Foundation we believe in the right to equality in education and that the right to choose your child’s school should not be the privilege of a small group but the right of everybody.
The Invisible Study Hall operates in the VIII. district of Budapest, where our mission is to reach children of disadvantaged backgrounds, mostly of Roma origins to help them begin their education in good quality institutions. To aid their educational success we provide services to the participants in order to build their skills and mitigate their disadvantages. We recruit volunteers who engage with the kids weekly and mentor them long-term. We organise group workshops, individual development sessions and leisure activities that all contribute to the development of the children’s capacities. We prepare our high school students for the university entrance exams and organise career days for them to be able to make an informed decision about their course of studies.
In close cooperation with the parents we are working towards getting the children into the best possible schools and supporting them throughout their education. Since 2013 we have been working with over 73 children and their families continuously.
Fundraising goal
The received donations are used to operate our study hall and programs.

As a one-off or recurring donor, the smallest donation is a statement saying that you believe that every child should have equal chances in education for them to develop their talents regardless of their family, financial or ethnic background and disabilities.
