Deviszont Community Space

Mission

At Deviszont, we believe that everyone's knowledge is valuable. We have been running a community space in Kispest for five years, where we study with young people in vocational training on a weekly basis about social issues, the power of community and democratic practices. Our aim is to help young people develop their competences and become informed citizens who can take their place in whatever walks of life. We also run regular sessions in secondary schools on a weekly basis. The programme is run by experienced teachers and social workers, using the tools of critical pedagogy.

Fundraising goal

The Deviszont Community Space is an initiative that provides young people in vocational education and training with an alternative learning and leisure opportunity. We organise project-based activities based on critical pedagogy and experiential education on a weekly basis. Our aim is for our students to learn about the world and society around them, and to become informed adults and active citizens.

The Deviszont Community Space is maintained through grants and individual contributions. With your help, we can operate more predictably, and your support contributes to the costs of organising sessions, renting and maintaining the space, providing the necessary materials and equipment, snacks and participation in external programmes.
